OUR HUTS
There is a range of different types of beach huts on the site. Some older types of huts remain but these are gradually being replaced by a new generation of huts built to a high specification. Because the company builds only the finest huts they are now unable to compete with cheaper huts built down to a price. The philosophy of building to a standard and not a price makes the huts too expensive to sell to others. Consequently the company now only builds them for themselves although their plans and templates are available to other beach hut companies on request.
A fresh approach has been taken to the interiors of the huts which now include a compact galley unit for hand washing and the easy preparation of refreshments. Soft furnishings including colour coordinated privacy curtains, windbreaks and tennis chairs from Southsea Deckchairs (the UK’s number 1 supplier of high quality beach furniture) are often now part of the package.
In constructing a new hut the aim of the company has been to build it to last and at the same time with the minimum maintenance. To this end, their philosophy has been to use the best materials and to construct a “smart” hut. The use of colourful water based paints and special primer means that the hut should not require repainting for several years. As with most maintenance, the key is in careful preparation
